I'm not sure how I feel about this practice, but i thought i'd share. I certainly don't object to it as much as the tattooing and dyeing of fish, but it no doubt raises some ethical issues. Opinions?????

I've always been fascinated with the idea of genetically altered pets available... my dream would be micro killer whales


The reason I'm not against this is because they are not harmed, just altered. If anything, goldfish breeds are worse than this.

The only down side is the peole that aren't responsible and 'might' let it loose if they don't want it, and then the genetic make-up of mice gets contaminated. I doubt anyone cares about the purity of common pest mice anyways though.
