Thanks for nice comments. He's my first Dat and I got pretty lucky, he took to pellets since day 2 and has been 100% stable since I got him for ~$15 from a tiny LFS a bit over a year ago when he was 3-3.5". He's now a good 8" (and nearly 2.5" wide lol, he's for sure on the plump side). But he's been on a good growth spurt the last several months and has grown noticeably taller as well.

Thx Neil, but let's see if I can get him past the 10" mark; from what I've learned on the site they seem less susceptible to sudden death syndrome after about that size.

I like the markings on the base of his tail almost like a sideways happy face.
