Have these fellas in this 120G low tech tank with C. Pleuropthalma and Fire Eel.

Low tech for the plant part of it
Growing the plants on inert substrate. No added CO2 or ferts. Only lights and fish waste. This tank is running since Nov.

You are quite welcome and I suspected the term was in reference to the plants in the tank.The thinbars really look at home in there.

Cheers mate. Yes they have responded really well since I have moved them here. Very picky and moody eaters I must say. The lil one recently started accepting pellets.

That's good,hopefully the other one will start taking pellets soon.What kind are you giving them?

The big fella has been taking pellets since long. He starts the bad habit of not taking pellets after being with the small one. Bad company I guess . Lucky for me they have both been good since the move.
I feed them tilapia, market prawn, Sole, Massivore and sinking cichlid.
Since those Pleuros are only on mealworms these thin bars have their share too

Im really digging those pleuros!!! should be easy to convert them to pellets... wish my NTT would get on the pellet wagon!

With NTT's I've had bad experience training wise. Lost a few to hunger strike earlier.
Yea hopefully the Pleuros take to pellets and frozen soon. I had an earlier group of 5 which i raised to 8". That was easier to train as they were very outgoing. Since the nos work I have ordered for 5 more to add.
