The seven NTT eat an awful lot of ghost shrimp, but are not particularly growing much. They are definitely bigger, but not much.
The two IT were barely an inch long when I got them, but they are pretty greedy, and have tripled their size in a few weeks. They are also more daring and more stable.
I got ten small modesta, and then another twenty, but one jumped. I always see some, but never all of them. They hang out in the upturned plant pot. They are not much longer, but much plumper.
And the latest additions, an L14 that I got two days ago, is just now getting bold during the day. And an L25 that I just received and put in now. I hope the diet of ghost shrimp will bring out the red in him.
I did have four zebra tilapia in this tank too. They relished on the diet, grew a lot, and the colour came out well, including blue lines on the gill plates. But they were terrible pigs. They would kill all the ghost shrimp, even if they could not eat them, and I ended up with a pile of dead shrimp. So they had to go into a different tank.
