So, these are the two DATs that i was talking about before. Got them for free from a friend (same guy who gave me my third gator gar). One is around 5" and the other one is 4". Water is normal though the temp is only 28C (aro tanks are at 31C)

My guess is that they are NTT? Darn, i was hoping for ST but hey free is free. So confirmations are most welcome ^^

They are super shy. Hiding behind the sponges and glass tower. Appart from faded stripes, they appear to be healthy and all that. They eat shelled prawn pieces quite heartily and take live frogs. (eating capacity seemed to exceed aros)

When not doing anything behind the filter, they rest nose downward completely vertical. Is it normal? and sometimes they sit on the floor hilted to the side. All and all not very active even at night. Are these behavior normal?

Their shiness is quite advantegeous since i am moving the coming small aro comm there (decided that X-back will stay where it is)

Thanks for the confirmation ^^

Are they supposed to be so faded? Is the color going to come back?

Cheers

The look of a DAT aquarium with DATs in hiding ... will be adding HBRTG, black and green

NTT...yeah the color will come back. Like the custom wood around the tank.

thanks ^^ i don't actually like the trimming ... my father did it. None of my indoor tanks got that wood trimming.

Thanks for the input. I hope the color does come back. I have seen on youtube quite nice colored ones.

Are they supposed to be sooo shy? They eat fine but very shy ... never seen them swiming around

Hopefully they will come around and wont hide soo much.If and when they feel comfortable in their new surroundings they will explore the tank and likely show color. That is a really nice tank, which size it?

Thanx ^^ it is not that big 6x2x2 only. Could not fit a bigger one near the front door ... hehehe i am on expansion campaign ... looking for a place a for a new 8' ...

hopefully DATs will come around (though i am not in a hurry for them to claim the tank). I have not moved my aro in there yet ^^
