Nu-Metal....Good or bad?

What do you guys think to Nu-Metal bands? I know that a lot of peeps dont like the Rap/Rock merge i think that theres only a few bands that have pulled it off, RATM and Linkin Park. I think that its a good thing as most other Nu-metal bands sell out RATM and LP didnt. Your opionions.

No offense Boggy but new metal aint that great and LP are sellouts. Im not a fan of Hesh Hop at all. I like to keep it real with stuff like Iron Maiden, SLAYER, and Motorhead...The best new metal band that Ive stumbled on recently is this band called Rumors of War.... Hard fast technical thrash with a dude singing that sounds like Lemmy.... A7X reminds me of a new Guns and Roses... Not bad though...

If you don't think LP are sell outs you're a lost cause...

Bottom line, who cares - I'm to the point of being so sick of all this genre and sub genre war BS that I'd rather just knock some whiney emo kids teeth into the back of his throat then listen to him try and defend why their bands are reputable and great.

if you like the music, who cares what genre it is. i'm pretty sick of all the genre and sub genre crap, if it's rock, it's rock. don't add weird make-up, fake vocals and stupid advertisments and try to pass it off as rock.

oh and by the way, you can't spell crap without rap

i actually enjoy nu-metal....bands like mudvayne, il nino, godsmack and disturbed are classed as nu-metal...all inwhich are mad bands!!

Soulfly really isn't new. Been around for awhile now. If you want to check out Max's new band check out the Cavalera Conspiracy. They are pretty heavy. The first time in a decade that Max and Igor join forces again. Old school Sepultura is the better stuff if you ask me.

They were originally going to be called Inflikted but some emo band on an independant label in New York wouldn't give up the name, hehe.
