Number of Weeks Quarantine?

How long do you quarantine a fish that you buy from a fish store? I usually QT for two weeks and then it goes into the community tank.

1. 1 week
2. 2 weeks
3. 3 weeks
4. 4 or more weeks

I voted for 3 weeks, but it really depends on the fish and the tank they are going in. I have one group that is in a QT for over a month.

considering ich can last over 4 weeks... and some viruses just look like stress in the beginning & won't show up for weeks, the longer the better.

All my quarentines are for 4-6 wks. (with a UV) & I don't have problems.

It depends on where I buy, Or catch, my fish. Usually 4 weeks min.

At least four weeks. Only one fish I've ever gotten has gone straight into the tank. It's because it was from a reputable place, and the fish was too big for my quarantine tank. lol

what quarantine? haha jk i know i just dont do it, i dont have the space to setup a qt tank or the parents permission
