This just disgusts me when i see this, even the employees at my LFS where these little guys are located say the same thing. When i dive in the keys i see them all the time, 8 - 10 feet long. Has anyone else seen them around in your local saltwater shops?

FYI, the lfs only sells to private individuals...

Before my husband and I started fishkeeping, there was an LFS in our town (has since closed) that had two of these guys in what was, at most, a ten-foot tank. The sharks themselves were probably three feet each. At the time, I had no clue, of course, but now, I cringe to think of it. I don't know how long they'd been there, but the sign said "Not for Sale." So they weren't selling them, but they didn't have the proper enclosure for them either. So sad...

Hey man, those will totally grow to the size of their tank....

On a more serious note, you could always eat 'em ;)

^ point proven, its cruel/torture... im not a green peacer by any means but a shark like that needs to be left in the ocean.

and mako is one of the best tasting fish in the sea : )
