So, I'm leaving for vacation for a week in December. I really dont want to leave the fert dosing in the hands of somebody else. I do dry dosing under the estimative index (EI) schedule; macros and micros 3x per week on different days each.

My question is, rather than have somebody come over everyday to do the dosing, can I dose all my macros the day I leave? For example, dose three 1/16 tsp of each macros in the water to cover the entire week? Will this work?

I know micros should be on different days, but what would happen if I do all macros/micros on the same day?

Anyone have input on this? Thanks!

I dont know, I dont think it will kill the plants. But if it were me, I'd probably not even fert them and just come back in a week and resume regular schedule. Of course the plants might not be in the shape they were in when you left.

shouldnt bother the plants at all but it may have an effect on the fish. but i have never tried. you could maybe try reducing the lighting when your gone to couple two hour bursts just enough so your plants dont die but not enough to let algae grow. dont know if it would work but it maybe an option.
