Curious if anyone has ever consistently fed their cichla or other predator fish alligator meat and crawfish? Alligator tail meat seems to be incredibly high in protein, I think 46 grams for a 100 gram serving, and crawfish is also very good protein. I know some crustaceans can have thiaminase in them, not sure about crawfish since they do provide a ton of B vitamins. I'm more interested in the gator meat as that seems like it could be a super food with how much protein it has but also wondering if cichla can digest that?
What other frozen/meaty foods besides tilapia do people use and what kind of growth do you get? I know growth comes down to a lot of different factors but high quality food is definitely one of the main things, interested in what everyone says.
