Just a quick bad cell phone shot of a 180 I've been working on.

Wanted to experiment with dropped water level in a CA cichlid tank. Tank is plumbed so I can fill it up all the way if I want to. Trying to simulate the edge of Lago Xiloa where many species congregate to fight over spawning territory during the breeding season.

Thanks to Lee Nuttall "nutty" are in order for all his work in aquascaping and great photos of his projects.

I think it looks really nice! Need some better pictures though!

One criticism, I think the lights are too intense. Just my opinion though. :)

Imo the lowered water line would look better with some type of ground platform covering half or so of the surface, with plants. A riparian style tank

Besides that I really like below the water line!

Honestly "ripariums" always look really fake to me. Just like floating random plants growing out of nowhere? WHERE DO THEY COME FROM? Haha.

Main feature above the water line:

And sum vines and stuff.
