I am interested in using nylon pot scrubbies in the bio-filter for my pond, at the moment I using a 75 gallon rubber made horse trough.....My question is, how thick a layer of pot scrubbies do I need to filter a 900+ gallon pond?

Thank you in advance

This would depend on the stocking of the pond. What are you planning on keeping?

What type of filtration are you using? Dimensions?

Cram as many as you can in it....

Any pics. of the filter?

the filter is a 75 gallon rubbermade horse trough, and I'm using it to filter the water from a 900+ gallon pond..............

was wondering though, would bath tub type scrubbies work?

They have about half the surface area of scrubbies, I had them in one of my filters for a while, pot scrubbies work real well.

Ideally you should have a few layers of mechanical filtration before the water goes to the pot scrubbies for biological filtration. Otherwise, dirt and scum get trap into the pot scrubbies which leads to having the need to clean them which might lead to wear and tear that you might have to end up...*gasps*...replacing those expensive scrubbies...hehe.
