The visibility of distilled water is about 80 metres. Blue Lake, in New Zealand's South Island, clocks in at 76 metres. Earlier this year I visited Pupu Springs while on holiday in the South Island, thinking I was seeing the clearest water on the planed second only subglacial water in the Antarctic. Looks like I'll have to go for another holiday! Now, how can I rig up my sump to filter the water through a few tons of glacial debris....
