A 5" Midas/Red Terror from Petsmart!
I have been planning a 240 CA/SA for a while and started a few strategic growing tanks. I purchased a bunch of juvenile cichlids sizes proportionate to growth and aggression levels. My husband took interest in these aggressive fish and bought one to add to the collection. This big fella sorta blows everything out of the water. Yikes!
PIC HERE: MIDEVIL
I split them up the best I could and, cross my fingers, everyone still has their fins. What I believe to be a she hasn't done more than taken a couple good charges at her smaller tankmates. She's in with 2 3" GT's (M/F not paired yet), a JD, a decent sized Salvini, and 2 syno's who know when to hide. The 240 is not ready, so they are stuck in a 55 until then.
Ps. The loaches and unmentioned cichlids are in other tanks.
How's a Midas/RD for a honey-I'm-home surprise? Why couldn't he have gotten a puppy instead?
