i have a OB peacock and now hes just laying there onthe gravel after todays W/c

i did 30% added a lil bit of aquiaurum salt and let the water settle before i added rock again (oringinally took out all the rock so i can add only half of it back)

and when i got home frrom gettin ice cream i noticed him swiming then he would lay on the bottom now he is just laying there ????

No signs of any fungus or any other type of sickness..???

his tail is a lil shreded maybed bullied and streessed out?

What should i do i got a lil 6 gallon tank but no filter it doesnt work and im waiting on my check to get a new one leave him in the community tank???

is he the only one ? You might have stirred up something when you did the rock removal (debris can accumulate under the rock and turn into toxic soup down there) i would do another big water change and if you didnt before add a good water conditioner with dechlorine and chloramine remover. Put in some extra airstones. Thats all i can think off. If you see all the fish start doing that then you need to change that water ASAP. something would be wrong with the water, if your on city water they sometimes blast the pipes with super chlorinated water to clean them out.

shes gone now didnt make it all my others are good got plenty of air i woud thing to air stones on each side of the tank and some from both my filters that creats air aswell...

thanks for ur hep though

s the bigger hey get the more air they need? illadd a long peice of air stone about 4 inch then for the middle of the tank since i got like 3 extra air pumps laying around..the more the better...

wow-sorry for your loss.

Sadly this type of thing happens to everyone. It is a good reason to get a q-tank going and just leaving it hidden under the tank or something. (Go to you local auctions pick up a 10 gallon with a filter for near 10 bucks.)

But yah sorry to hear, keep an eye on the other guys.

Sorry it died. I hope that it does not happen again for a long time. Its always sad though. I hope i dont have any losses in the big swap comiong up this weekend. we will be moving alot of fish. Makes me worry cause like you i got attatched to the little buggers.
