Obscura Compatibility

Can I keep fully grown obscuras with a 5" chinese softshell turtle?

I know turtles and fish don't mix well together. I will keep a close eye on the turtle. I'm wondering about the obscuras. Will they show aggression and try to beat up the chinese softshell?

Hi,you can try keeping them together for a short period, see how things work out but be sure to have a second tank ready in case of incompatibility.

That's what I thought as well. I know they're bichir compatible and found in the same waters as each other. I also know fish and turtles don't mix but again it's 50/50 so I'm asking for input on this.

Hi,aggressive and predatory are unpredictable, depending much from tank setups,water quality and tank mates.

In my old expirience, the obscuras tested every fish in the tank! just like the marulius.
