ok so i put my 4 whiteskirt tetra's in the 5ft as thought best to take them out the assam tank, had no where else to stick them, think it's a bad move...The obscura was floating at an angle from side to side looking like a peice of wood<even lightened colour, would attempt an attack but never got anywhere, the pleuro even tried and the senegal birchir, then after a while they seemed to work as a team as in all 4......but haven't sucseeded yet!!!!

Hi nelly,
those Assam look top notch,I hope they turn out to be a viable pair for you.
The tetra should be safe for a little while yet but I'd be careful that an over confident snakehead dosent choke its itself and drown biting on more than it can swallow.

Nice, love the duckweed, whats your filtration like?

filteration is the fluval fx5 and a tetratec 1000 internal.....
Thanks for the comment's guy's......ive come home to find only one tetra in the tank, was exspected i suppose but annoying on my part

How do you prevent the duckweed from getting sucked up into your fx5? pic?

hehe didnt think about that but the tank's two feet deep and the intakes all the way down to the gravel, the out put is under the water level aiming downward thus not creating much turbulance at top, seems to be doing ok
