Just searched for an OCA thread and I didn't find one, so here it is. Who is going to OCA Extravaganza? I'm heading up probably late friday night because my dad has to pick me up from college 3 1/2 hrs in the wrong direction, man am I glad he likes fish too! Luckly we only live 1 1/2 hr away from cleveland :headbang2

:nilly: OCA EXTRAVAGANZA :nilly:
Hope to see some of you there :)

yea im planning on going saturday. Im pretty pumped. You know if there is any way where we are able see lists of the stock vendors might be bringing there?

That is really nice of your dad. Hope school is going well! I may go to oca.. have not decided I am mainly looking for a few hard to find ctenopoma species from west africa. I have acutirostre but would like to add 2 more fish similar of same genera for my bichir tank.

Reedmaster16 I would check out the OCA Forum, there will be lots of talking, some vendors will post some stuff and others keep it a secret, there is always good stuff at really good prices!!! Mike you should deffinitely go, I know how big it was last year, and on the forum they said they had a ton more pre-registered people, it is so worth going, I know Sunny and Scott are going, there are always rare fish and the speakers are excellent!!! If anyone does decide to go, make a weekend out of it, and dont just check out the show or the vendors, many people take tanks and setup in their hotel rooms, you just walk the hotel, for this weekend, the hotel becomes one giant Fish Store all under one roof!!! Because of my long travel time, I think I will miss the first talk by Ad Konings :( http://www.cichlidae.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=42&sid=bbe035830b5d76ba897b41cf6d11cd95

last year they had a small dry goods auction before the fish auction, there was some stuff, plenty of good items, but the fish outnumber the dry goods by a ton. The vendors have really good deals on all the dry goods so its pretty much even.

not a problems chocolatefish, OCA extravaganza is the "Ohio Cichlid Association" event Nov. 19-21, a weekend filled with fish, World renowned speakers such as (Ad Konings, Charley Grimes, Stephen Tanner, and Heintz Buscher <- speakers for this year) They are really great talks about many different topics. Its a place for all the fish people to hang out and talk, even the speakers, they are very personable. http://www.ohiocichlid.com/oca-extravaganza Check out the link for more info, there is so much to do and learn, its a good time
