I think this is the forum I should post at-
most of the socal MFK members know that Ocean Blue has moved a mile down the street from where it was- but what you might not have known was the place is ENORMOUS! Its double the size of the original store(which was like 4500 or so sq ft- which is already a larger than most normal size LFS)- as a matter of fact I go to a grocery store thats smaller than the new OB!
I stopped by this past week and saw the whole gang, Brian, his Mom, KTran, and Francisco- Brian gave me a tour of the place, hes finally putting some of those extra tanks he had in the other half of the old place to use... plus another million or so tanks that hes been hiding- this place even has a second story!
The doors should be open to the public later in the month-
The new place is a mile west of the old place, and its on the north side of Katella, the old place was on the south- its across the street from the nissan dealer in a group of commercial buildings- 1215 Katella Im pretty sure is the addy
oh, and dont forget to mention me for a free confused look on Brians face

Any Phish that would interest me to go buy a "Rocket Ticket" n fly over?

Sweet! Can't wait to visit my family in the OC now lol

anything livestock wise yet?

I went there today. There were no fish!:( They wont be getting freshwater fish for another week and who knows about saltwater. I was very disappointed. I won't be going back for a month or two. Unless they put more tanks in the back...the new place looks even smaller than the old place.

First the place is about double the square footage of his last place. Secondly, the front area is dedicated to salt while that enormous back area will be all fresh. It currently has one long wall of tanks that he will be stocking shortly. Coming up he will be adding long isles of freshwater fish, in addition to the one that's currently there. Plus, he will be able to have a ton of tanks for purchase there at the store, and is able to keep extra supplies and dry goods on the 2nd 'floor' of storage space and the outdoor back area. Talk to Brian. He's a great guy, and after talking to him the other day while I was there, I know he's proud of where his store is headed. He's put an insane amount of effort into getting the place not just up and running, but prepping to be a VERY nice lfs. I'm actually going back today with my husband this time so he can check it out, and hash out some fish room plans with Brian. Don't pubically bash people that are working hard, and are so dedicated, especially without even having any facts.

I was so disapointed to see it closed then saw the sign that said they moving and would be opening soon but it didn't say where and that you should check online Wich I'm bearly getting around too. Now I can't wait to go see the new store

I went to Ocean Blue yesterday actually, im not sure if i went to the old spot or the new spot but when i went there were fish dying, their stock wasn't very great and it looked like either they were run down or starting back up?
