Ocean Clear Filters.... what are your thoughts?

I have had several people swear buy and recommend ocean clear filters. What are yalls thought and have yall ever used them or knew any body who used them? How efficient are they? and why the heck are they so expensive seeing as how you have to provide the pump to run them?​

i have a diy wet/dry that takes water from overflow, as well as an ocean clear canister shaped filter that pumps water from 2 holes on the bottom of the tank through the canister and out another 2holes on the bottom of the tank , in a 180gal. they both "work" as in i see a lot of waste ( that i clean out in them ) . so i would say its really hard to compare because they both seem to filter out a lot of waste. i would assume biologically though, theres a difference as wet/dry is aerobic? and that closed canister is closed to anaerobic?
that didn't make sense at all huh? xD so ya , in conclusion, i do recommend it
