Ocean Nutrition also stole a photo of mine and used it in their TFH March 06 advertisement. There is a Conspic Angel photoshopped into the tank. I took the pic and verbally and expressed in writing that none of my pics were to be used without permission. I called them the other day to get their take on it. I could tell the moron was caught with his hand in the cookie jar as he claimed the pics came from some Japanese website...I'm getting money out of this now, its personal...

I believe this was the pic-note the vertical scratch in the center of the fish!

As a professional photographer I have experienced this kind of theft first hand....if you want to take this to the next level perhaps i can be of assistance with my experiences...basicly they are in serious breach of the copyright act....it is illegal to just take someone else's art and use it for commercial purposes without permission...you own the photo..if you have the original then they are screwed....however, the amount of money you may be able to regain as compensation might not be much and attorney's get pricey

did'nt know you were a photgraphy thats cool i have a fortune in gear i mostly do wild life and abstract
sorry for derailing this thread
as david said the cost are not worth it but you can make it public knowledge on all the related forums possible and f**k the prick over no one likes a stealer.

get em mike

protect your property :). But DW's right, you might be limited on the financial compensation you get back. THey might just settle out of court and give you what it'll cost them to pay lawyers to defend the case.

very nice angel btw

I'm not in this for the money. It just rubs me raw that these idiots flat out stole my pic, disregarded my disclaimer, and lied. Hell, a bunch of people have asked to use my pics in some books and misc publications. I have no problem with that and have yet to deny someone's request. And $$$ isn't an issue here. It's more out of spite than anything...

And no, that isn't my Conspic. If you check out www.absolutelyfish.com , most of those pics are mine.
