Hey guys I am new to peacock bass and I was wondering if an ocell or a mono was more desireable? I think these are the the two most commonly avaible and cheapest, correct? I have looked through the sticky's and can't really tell any differences between the two with my untrained eye so I was wondering the differences and which is more disireable. Thanks!

umm... I may be retarded but when I google the species and look at the pictures they look almost the same to me. Looking at the i.d. chart link in the sticky's the mono has a brightish green upper body and a brillant red lower body esp. around the gullet. The ocell in that picture looks a really drab ovlive gray green that looks horrible. But when I google it it looks the same as the mono to me. Both of the fish have spangeled bars too. Does anyone have any better i.d. charts or can better explain to me the differences? Also is there a size difference?
if you go ocell, you cant go wrong with a guyana ocell. those fish are beasts and beautiful when they grow up. (just look at Hulons pictures) and as for mono? supposedly Lake Diamanté monos are suppose to be really nice, ive yet to see a picture of one as a juvie or an adult.
