How can I distinguish between Ocellaris and Mono's at the 2-4
inch stage? Is it possible? I found a few at the LFS and they said they think they are Ocellaris....how can I tell?

Chances are that they are either a hybrid or farmed mono. It is very difficult to tell differences when they are that small. What is the price?

If they are farmed will they get the bright orangeish red coloring on their throat and under belly that Peacocks are known for?

My Ocell has the Red Coloring on his throat, and he's about 7 inches, so is he a Mono or a true Ocell......

90% of farmies will hardly have any color at all even when grown

Well guys for myself just researching and loocking at old threads.In general an Ocell will have a gold border around the bars where as a mono will not.Another way on the mono is spotting under the bars with with gold perimeter ocell won't have these are just general but a goood start!And i also believe mono and ocell can have red throat and finnage!

Yes. I have never seen a ocell x mono. And if you find a fish farm that sells pbass, shoot me a PM with the location of these Farms.
