ok firstly do i go with Octopus bimaculoides or Octopus briareus or even Octopus vulgaris? or though really thinking about the first too...

tank will be a 3x2x2 with sand substrate. living rock centre piece and the solo octopus. Im setting the tank up this weekend and am three months away from being cycled to the point ill be comfortable placing a oct in the tank...

any input buy people with success storys of keeping them in tanks please any advice on that subject id love to hear... ive seen and read lots about astroturf being used but there are many ways to do it successfully...

Go to TONMO.com they have really helped me out with octopus and use the search bar I bet you could find all the information you would ever need in no time good luck if you follow through post pictures

If you have specific questions I could help out on them

i've already been and had a look on there... what do you keep? have you kept other sp? how do you secure your tank? what size tank?

I have kept O.merc in a 30gal fowlr. To secure your tank either put screen over all openings or I know people have put indoor outdoor carpet the stuff thats like fake grass over openings and they are supposed to not like the feel of it so they wont mess with it too much. Ill be happy to help all i can the biggest problem with octopus is suppliers... Not too due to the fact they aren't captive bred besides the small species.
