I have a rather strange problem.
I have a calico moor that I've owned for about 9 months and he's been healthy the entire time. His eyes are HUGE and his tail is tiny, so his name is Coyote - short for Coyote ugly, cause that's what he is
I noticed the other day that it seems like the internal pressure within his eyes is pushing the inner membrane out through the pupil. In other words, his eyeball is bubbling out through his pupil, but still contained within the outer, corneal membrane. It's like this in both eyes.
He can still see, and seems to be in perfect health otherwise (other than being a mutant fish.) Has anyone ever heard of the pressure within a fish's eye creating this condition? He's in with a bunch of other fish including goldfish, but no other moors. No other fish in the tank have this problem.
I figured I could try putting some aquarium salt in the water to decrease the pressure through osmosis, but due to some of the other fish in the tank (dojo loaches and corys for example) I don't want to put in too much. I'm open to any other suggestions!!
