Hello and thank-you for checking this thread. Now on to the situation at hand. It has been several weeks since my sal and Jd have been acting weird. My sal would always be out and about, but now she is very skittish and color would become pale. She doesn't even come out to eat. As for my JD, she has always been hiding, but now she rams into the glass and object in the tank every so often. The only changes I did were switching food (switched to NLS which she ate, feed them more frequently, and began feeding froozen food), increased temp to 83 (did it slowly, 1 degree per day), removed my emp400 (but I still have a fx5), and rearrange plants (but I have done this and even more extensive redecorating without a problem). Other than that nothing else new was changed (no bullying, no new fish, nothing new with WC, good water, and no change in lighting). Can increasing the temp by 3 degree cause this to happen?

may be your JD is the new boss of the tank and picks on the sal when the lights go bye bye

All of those could have an effect, but like Jib said, I think it sounds like a passing of the torch....

thanks for your reply.
I highly doubt that my JD is bullying the sal for two reasons.
1. JD is significantly smaller than my sal. about 1"
2. I see my sal chase off the JD when JD accidently goes too close to her
