this q is about my three spot goruamies.
The first time I tried introducing the female into my tank my resident male shredded her fins in the space of several hours so I put her buck in the ten gallon guppy tank to heal. about six weeks shes healed up and starting to nip my guppies .
So about a week ago I try again this time putting her in a breeder box in my main tank for a while before releasing her, so far all fins and scales are intact
.
He still chases her occasionally but he doesn't seem to be hurting her.
but in the last few days she has been swimming up to him and rolling on her side belly toward him or turning vertically tail down head up and is LETTING him nip at her vent and sides she almost seems to be encouraging him.
Is this some odd fishy submissive behavior or could I be expecting fry in the near future?
