anyone have any experience with 2 dats freaking each other? after i fed my fish i was staring at them and i noticed that 2 of my dats were breathing very very heavily... a lot more than the normal after meal heavy breathing. if you have ever seen cichlids mate it look very similar. the dats had the whole body shake. their tails seemed to be used to fan/stimulate the other dat. they kept on going at it for a while. wish i had a vid of it, i only caught the very end of whole behavior, which wasnt much. anyone else have this experience or knowledge of what is going on?

by the way, i highly doubt they were mating just because they are my smaller dats... 1" indos. that would be cool if it was though... bu unlikely

LOL...i just responded to this onTC. but yes i have had similar activity between one of my larger indos and a smaller ST. very odd behaviour for about a week or so, also no eating at the time.

perhaps its a territory re-enforcment behavior?
