Odd fish ID

I caught this in my pond. about 10" heavy for a fish that size. looks like a sunfish but has large mouth like a lmb. Pond was stocked 80 years ago with bluegill, sunfish, flathead catfish, some large schooling baitfish and probably more species I have yet to catch. There are bluegill hybrids but could this be a hybrid?

Definitely not a bass. The blue spot on the "ear" gives it away. Very nice size sunfish.

lol, largest Green I've seen. Mine is about half its size. (Around 5") You keeping it, or was it released?
