hi, im still having hard time converting my mono to eat prepared foods...
ive been patiently following dmacks strategy of converting live to frozen for 3months now.
so far no succes. my mono will not eat anything that doesnt move.

ive experimented 1 thing, i tried tieing a piece of market prawn to a goldfish with a thread...
i threw it... the feeder tried to swim.. then bhaaam! it ate it with the market prawn tied to it.
my odd question is will the thread that i used to tie the prawn with can be digested by him?

weird i know. im desperate.:screwy:

It will probably be dispensed in the feces.. But probably wont Digest ..

perosnal opinion ... Yes But I probably wouldn't make a habit of it :)

Be careful with the thread...like any animal if it intwines in their intestines they will be dead in short time....this is common so be careful with letting them swallow any thread, fishing line ect..

thanks! ill sure be careful. i have been tryng ur method for couple of months now, im still on the stage that my mono will not even look on the krill. Yes im trying ur Drop live, then krill strat. What is harder to train? Wild or farm bred?
anyway i noticed him pumping size i tie chicken breast fillet, beef fillet and fish fillet. it takes it greedily as long as it sees a head of a goldfish. the thread is so small i cut it and leave just the knot in there. so i think it wont be too much problem.
