Anyone know of someone who makes custom filter socks, approx. 5.5'' x 14''? I can't find any for sale anywhere.

Why are you looking for something besides standard sizes?

Wouldn't off the shelf sockholders be a simpler answer?

The 4" filter sock won't fit. I would have to make a new filter holder. There's a big difference in filtration potential between 4 and 5.5 inches and I prefer bigger socks. Here's a pic showing 4" doesn't fit in my sump and size difference.

In case anyone else has an odd sized filter socks I found a solution. I'm going to purchase two 5'' plastic embroidery hoops and make or buy 7'' drawstring filter socks. Links below

You can buy the embroidery rings at any craft, fabric store...even WalMart. I have actually made custom socks and they work very well.
The question I have is:
If you are making custom socks, why not build a square frame out of pvc and make one big 11"x5.5"x14" sock? Make more than one....make them with stainless snaps and cut the material to have flaps that go around the pvc frame.
.....or....buy brass or stainless eyelets in the top (folded over double for strength) and use zipties or stainless hooks....or plastic shower curtain rings....

Lots of great ideas! Thank you.
