One of my cat fish had this odd skin problem. The belly gets blobs of water filled boils. It come and gos.. Leaving scars.. It's also have skin bleaching here and there... Had this problem for over a year.. This particular cat fish is the dominant in the group of 6 It eats well and very aggressive.. I done everything and come to the decision, this is genetics..
