Odd tankmate Question

So i was at the LFS today and overheard someone talking about a Frontosa be housed with an Arowana. Has anyone here ever heard of this, done this, or have an opinion on the matter? I just thought this sounded odd.

Weird setups work sometimes, I've seen people keep gars with their cichlids but I've never had luck with it.

i use to have a frontosa with an oscar green terror jack dempsey and a jag without any issues. This was in my first tank years ago

No I guess I am closed minded and never considered keeping african cichlids with anything but their own kind.

Idont keep Africans with SA/CA cichlids because 99% of the time the Africans get killed or eaten. Just my experience though, others have had luck with it

Tried to introduce a Leichardt Aro to my Frontosa colony and it didn`t take long before it was harassing them . Didn`t want to chance it for too long so it was removed .
