Bought this tank today for $50. It is 38x24x25 with half inch glass drilled in the upper corners. I found it at a local store that I did not even know existed until about a week ago. It is only open from 2p to 6p and is owned by a guy that does reef tank setup and maintenance. I wanted to see if he would order tanks for me since the other lfs will not. It turns out that I know the guy, so now I have a source for used tanks, new tanks, and fish without having to deal with shipping. Glad I stopped in.

Wow nice find for $50. Interesting dimensions. You could do a nicely planted, aquascaped tank with small, peaceful schooling fish....Or I like the idea of a pair of salvini... or Firemouths.

I like it, i'm into oddball sized tanks. I also like the ideas of Salvin's, Thorichthys and smaller Geophagus/Gymnogeophagus species. Blue Acaras or others from that family would work well also as well as Crytopheros or Amatitilania, Archocentrus, or Acarichthys

Spotted Pims and Raphaels for the bottom and some Platys, Swordtails, Mollys or Tiger Barbs for the top level

Thanks for all the input guys. I really haven't even thought about stocking it yet. I may actually go reef, discus, or maybe uaru pair. It's actually 28" tall not 25". Not that the extra inches make a difference for stocking. I am trying to figure out how to filter it first. It only has two drilled holes. One on either side of the tank in the front and back corners. With the placement of the drilled holes I could plumb in an FX6 or was thinking about building diy overflows and using the drilled holes for returns with a sump. Or I could use the holes for overflows and have the return over the back. At any rate I need to clean it up and perform a leak test for a few days first.

Here is a shot showing the placement of the holes. Seems like an odd place to put them.
