I introduced a single sevrum that is quite a bit larger than my five 7-8 in pbass. There is no aggression in the tank at all and everyone is being extra active. The new sevrum has been in 24 hrs now and my bass are acting strange. Its like they are showing off eating the bubbles and making large splashing noises at the top. Everyone is fed and my water is good with lots of airation. Are my bass just showing off?

Don't worry about it. By what you have said it sounds like they are just playing. Eratic behavior similar to darting across the tank, being sensative to light, running into walls etc. would be something you don't want with Cichla and usually indicates some sort of issue with your Cichla. But like I said before your fish sound fine and there shouldn't be no real relation for this to happen when you had introduced the severum.

Thanks some reassurance was helpful. They just keep making these loud noises that had me concerned! Things seem to be going well.
