Hey all, I'm looking to find the names of these fish so I can look them up properly. Some are considerations for the future, anything small enough will be considered now. Please help out if you know any of their names!

For the gar-looking one in third pic, the website I got the pic from was in russian, so I had my russian friend translate it, but the name I got back was "Silver Pickerel". I can't really find anything under that, though it's supposed to be from the freshwater barracuda family. I'm very interested in that fish because the websie said it stays nice and small (6-8") which is good for me right now.

Any help appreciated!

Ah, I hope not XD The website says they stay small, but if they get that big I can't have any now. But knowing that it 'looks' the same is still great for the future, I defiantely want a fish that looks like that king of 'gar'. ^^

Thanks!

1) Channa micropeltes (4')
2) Lophiosilurus alexandri (2'+)
3) Lepisosteus platyrhincus (3-4')
4) Channa argus (3'+)
5) Polypterus sp. (palmas perhaps?) I'm not really sure so I'll leave that for someone else, probably 12-20".

Ho' hell, me thinks you pretty much nailed them. Sucks that that russian site didn't the get gar info even close to right, but I'm glad I've got the right info now^^

Thanks so much! You rule!

(Me thinks I've seen your avatar before... If you've answered any of my other questions before, more thank yous!^^)

Have a good one!
