I’m so sorry to hear that, I’m glad you’re persevering though, I’ve had friends shut down their tanks after losses like that, do you mind telling me about your setup? (Tank dimensions filtration etc?

Yeah no worries, tank is 7x2x2 with 2 FX6 running and a separate Hydra filter system which means the bioload for even a heavy stock predator tank is kept very low... this combined with weekly 50% water change means everyone is happy! Proven by the fact that I have had both a pair of oscars and most recently a pair of veija spawn in this set up, dispite the none standard fish stocking choices. Feed frozen mussels, prawn etc (whatever is cheap) and use massivor delite as bass pellet food.... all seems to work very well

Shout at your fish! They know I am the boss.. when they fight etc I get my hand in there and tell them off..I am not even joking.

There can only be one alpha in a pack .. and mine know who it is! That goes for the fish as well as the dogs!
