wow i've never seen that before. kinda looks like an arowana/gar mix or something. how much was it?

He eats frozen shrimp and krill. He has had a pretty fast growth rate. He hasn't eaten in like 4 days though because I am attempting to try and get him on pellets. I have very week willpower when it comes to starving fish though, so that might not last too long. He is so hungry, he kept going after my hand today when I was trying to rearrange some things
. I really didn't want those teeth sinking into my hand.
It was the first time I've seen one at an LFS, so I jumped on it. I think he was $70.

If you want to get it onto some different foods, I'd suggest snagging a few more if possible, they seem to really enjoy company. I have a group of 4 that were split up for a while but upon putting them back together they not only seem inseperable but also seem to eat better due to the competition for food.
