Odoe pike hasn't eaten for over a week

Hey everyone. Just got 2x odoe pikes about 5". One is feeding on blood worms well but the other hasn't eaten since a got it (over a week ago). It is still very skittish and runs away every time I approach the tank but It is still very active and swimming well. I've tried market shrimp, freeze dried krill, and pellets.

I'm on the verge of caving and trying live food. I've been reading that it's good to keep them on live food when they're young

How long has your odoe pike gone without eating? Should I be getting worried or should I give it a couple more days to settle in the tank??

I would add a bunch of guppies or similar to get him eating.

5 days may be pushing it a bit. Try keeping some cheap dither fish in them to guide him to the food. That worked for me

Fish can go long periods without eating. Under a month I wouldn't worry, likely he's still settling in. Guppies will likely get him eating.

guppies. Mine came in at 3 inches and ate guppies right out of the bag. feed them a good supply of guppies for a week or so, then start switching over to tilapia and pellets.
