I just bought an odyessa return pump 712 gph. Is odyessa a decent brand????? I bought it brand new for $29. Good deal???

depends on who you ask. Some people have had bad experiences with the brand, others haven't had any problems.
The pump is relatively cheap, but it's also less efficient.
A quietone 3000 (780GPH), for example, costs about $45 and uses 40 watts, 25 less than the odyssea pump.
