So I received my new tank stand today and require new hosing for my filter. I received the green ribbed hoses with the filter but dont know the exact ID of them.

I was thinking of replacing them with either vinyl or a garden hose since it feels lighter and more flexible.

Is there anything else I need to know about filter placement? It will be roughly two feet under the tank.

Just some quick advice regarding the CSF500, both of mine developed crackes in the lid after about 2-3 months. Becarefull tightening the red knobs as that is where the cracks develop. I removed the blue filter and as result did not have to tighten the red knobs as much to avoid leakage from the canister. The seller did replace both lids.
