odyssea t5 review

hi what do you guys think on the odyssea t5 fixture

good or bad and explain why bad plz because i was looking at there quad t5's

I have three of the odyssea fixtures before they re-designed them with the external ballast. They are nice, but my quad T5HO came defective from aquatraders and they have horrible customer service IME.

Look into Catalina, fishneedit, and the TEK lights also.

are the current ones with external ballast good, i just need to know this stuff before i buy 2 36" fish need it lights, i just thought if i can get 2 30 ' odyssea quads for the same price why not

I'm not a particularly big fan of external ballast designs... Maybe someone that knows about it could clarify, but it seems to me they moved to the external design to cut costs.

I have odyssea 2 x 36' quad T5 w moonlights and external ballasts. I was surprised at how much light given off, good spectrum also. I think external ballast allows the fixture to run cooler. I would recommend. T5 lighting for less than the price of shops lights outfitted w T8s.

Ya I wanna see the LED moonlights as well. I might buy one of those fixtures since I like the duals so much.
