Odyssea500 canister filter?

I have one and I love it, but I don't think its comparable to a fx5. But its 500gph of pure mechanical filtration. I rinse the sponges once a month and change them twice a year, and it hasn't let me down.
 
Awesome glad to hear folks! Getting one for $50! Probably more than sufficient for a 55g with an emperor 400 right?...

Depends on how your stocking it but that would be a great combo imo.
 
Currently the tank is being used exclusively as a grow out for my rtcxtsn until he's too large and has to go into his pond. Would that same combo be okay for him in a 110g?

Should be ok but I would add another HOB but that's just me. AC110's are on sale at drfosters I'm thinking of getting one to replace my cascade 1000 canister filter
