So to update my update post from yest.. I woke up and there were more scales missing on my Jar!!! Of course this couldn't happen at a worse time, because earlier this week I brought home a small rat to feed to my ball python and she was just getting ready to shed and wouldn't eat. So I am keeping the rat in the 10 gallon that I use for hospital purposes and in this case JAIL. So I'm keeping the Oscar in an aerated 5gallon bucket until the snake eats the rat then He will move into the 10gallon for about a month while I power feed the Jar and slightly underfeed the Oscar... You can feel bad for the oscar all you want but this isn't any worse treatment then he'd get at the lfs and that's where he'd be going today if I didn't want to give this one more try... All the gouramis are still accounted for and I haven't seen any aggression towards them from the jar.
here's some pics of the missing scales.

and a short video of him/her eating some crickets!

the jar looks really nice, it's a pitty it didnt work out... but normally it doesn't work the 1st few times you try, but insist and you can get to success ;)

the oscar is bashing the jardini? leave them alone n let the scales fly. the tables will turn in no time.

either that, or you have the wimpiest jardini ever! go buy a silver n try the comm lol

I dunno maybe s/he is a wuss, but when I got her she was the "runt" of the two that they had gotten in together... I took so long debating wether I wanted to pay the 75 bucks for one that the other got sold and then I got the smaller one... I don't know if this means anything... But yes the aggressions is entirely on the Oscars side and I was hoping if I power fed the Jar and it grew a little larger with out the O' growing much maybe it will balance out. And like I said I haven't even seen the jar as much as chase after a gourami yet... Anyone else have any suggestions of a decent sized mid/top water swimmer that I could get if my last try reintroducing doesn't work? :naughty:

im sorry i dont want to sound rude...
but i dont understand why you keep trying to comm those 2...
u know 1 of them can die right?
That's fine, I understand what your saying! I'm trying one last time and if it doesn't work I'm getting rid of the oscar... anyone wanna call dibs on it? ha
And yes I def. value the Jar much more then the O' but I've grown to like him a bit too... It's just disappointing because it worked for a few months... :(

If you have 2 tanks, I suggest you seperate them. Once vthe Jar reaches 8-10" you can put the Oscar back in then the Jar will kick his A**
