I'm putting crayfish in a twenty and fifteen, i want to keep most in the fifteen, which is a 15long. I have 6 of these guys and all about 2-3". tanks are over filtrated. they will all go into a 55. but for now i'm having a battle dome in the 15. so how many crayfish do you guys think per gallon.

general rule of thumb, one crayfish needs about 1.5 square foot of floor area when mature. i myself never house multiple crayfish together except the dwarf cpo which is less than 2 inches long fully mature. larger crayfish need more room. my big cherax quad has a 30 long to himself and imo needs it.

crayfish love to hack each other up when soft from molting, pt in lots of hides and structure and that will help.
