Hello all, I've been hiding in the shadows of this forum observing posts and reading all the great information on this site and decided to join so I can ask questions and share some of my own opinions in regards to our hobby. This site is by far the best and has the most knowleageble forum contributors so I figured I better sign up as that describes me to a tee! (Lol, jk)
I am primarily into Central American Cichlids but have some Souths, Madagascar Tilapia and have recently lost my African Polystigmas and Venestus' to a vengeful Cuban (They killed his little friend so he killed all of them) but will get more as soon as the baby Jag, RD and Bleekeri grow out of the grow-out tank.

I have also taken an interest to Bichirs as of late but I don't have any yet as I am not sure how well they would mix with my cichlids in the longterm so I guess as a new member that will be my first question: Can Bichirs and CA/SA's co-exist in relative harmony throughout all the growth stages? How (in your experience/opinion) will they react to eachother when small if close to the same size? Could I put a 4" Senegal Bichir in with 3-4" Polleni's and Bleekeri's if I remove officer Oscar (8") and put him into population with the badboys?

welcome ............ to mfk........hide no more lol.. very nice to meet you......i love *****irs too... so cute.. how is the weather there in Saskatchewan

Thanks good to be here! It's actually really nice for the time of year here in Sask. The temp right now is -2 degrees Celsius which I don't know exactly in Farenheit but I believe around 32? Today it was 1 degree and the snow was melting.
