Off to get some silvers...

Once I get off of work, I will be headed to a LFS for five 6-7" silver aros. Regular price is 59.95 but I called the owner and asked him if he would give a discount if I buy 4-5 of them. So I will be getting them for 40 bucks each.:headbang2

Hopefully I can come out with a breeding pair including the 2 I have at home.

Soon my pond will house 2 blacks, and 7 silvers.:nilly:

I ended up getting 5 real nice ones. I put them in my 150 for now until they are big enough to go in either the 600 or the pond.

The tank was divided to keep my 2 black from fighting, but as soon as I let the little silvers out of the bag there was no aggresion.

Great deal! I must say that after seeing aros in groups, solitary aros just aren't as impressive. I love seeing groups of silvers or blacks, or mixed sets.
 
take pictures and post when you can..and congradulations on your find.

I will try to snap a few pics tonight as long as they don't seem to skittish. I take the part back about no aggression. The bigger silver and one of the blacks were going at it, nothing to bad just some split fins. if it keeps up like this I'll try to move the one black into another tank.

I had the 150g tank divided into 2 sections. One black was by itself on one side and the other side held the other black and a little bigger silver. I put the 5 new msilvers in ad took out the divider and there was no fighting. Well. at least not right away.:nilly:
