I don't know if all Office Depots are having this clearance or just mine (Baton Rouge), but I just scored an Edsal 5000lb black steel shelving unit for $40. They normally run ~$80. They can be set up as a 5 tiered shelf with 1000lbs on each, or set up each half side by side for a 6' wide 18" deep 3' high bench/shelf. They are coated with a fairly nice looking grainy matte black finish. I plan on replacing the fiberboard with 1/2" or 3/4" plywood, painted and water sealed.
They had a bunch, and it's new in box, not demo units.
