Lol, i don't think they're similar to tinfoils one bit, you'd have thought an LFS would pick up on that.

Barbs are notorious plant eaters. I recently had to transfer half a dozen filaments from my 180 because as soon as they got to about 4" they decided to start ravaging my plants. I'm wondering if my small beardless barbs are going to follow a similar path once they get a bit bigger. At the moment they're not interested in my plants at all. I notice you have some greenery, what's your experience so far?

I had the exact same experience.
Got a group of filaments and as soon as they hit 4" they systematically wiped out plants.

I`ll give them this though, 8 filament barbs did as much damage in 2 weeks as one 5" abramite headstander did in one day.
Stay clear of the headstander if you have plants. Mine even chewed a huge anubias down to the rhizome lol
