The other thread served it's purpose for the year but now the men have been seperated from the men. Share your thoughts, opinions, predictions as the postseason progresses here. yes, even if the media doesn't agree even seahawk fans get a voice here

I've never claimed to be an expert but could someone explain how the Seahawks got in?

While the Giants and Buccaneers who played much better...didn't? The only thing I've been able to think of is that at least one team from each division gets to go..

anyways.... moving on.

From the AFC, I'll list in order what I personally want

Steelers
Ravens
Jets
Chiefs
Patriots
Colts

But I think The Patriots will take it

From the NFC, what I personally want

Falcons
Saints
Bears
Eagles
Seahawks
Packers

I do think the Falcons will take it and The Patriots will win the Super Bowl

Out of all the teams only the Patriots and the Colts are the two I'd really prefer not go. I don't hate them just let others share the front stage.

winner of EVERY division gets one of the top 4 seeds in each conference. i'm not sure why it's a big deal. you win your division, you get in. i'm positive the only reason the divisions records is so bad is because they had to play the Saints, Falcons and Bucs (the entire nfc south) for their non divisional opponents. Would they have been better off if they got to play the AFC south (colts, jags, texans and titans) or AFC west (Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Cheifs)?

Edit: To add onto to my point, the teams who got the 3 or 4 seed should be upset that they didn't get a weak division to munch on so they could've ended up with a 1 or 2 seed and got a first round bye too

I don't see why it can't be based on who the better teams are as I see no connections as to why some divisions play better then others. I'm sure some may blame weather conditions but the Patriots are doing the best and are under the worst weather conditions

Teams like Dallas and Miami don't fit with their division.

i don't know the history of the nfl playoffs but if you look at mlb, they didn't use to have wild card slots. The only way in was to win your division. The fact that anyone other then the division winners are getting in is taken for granted.

Divisions flip upside down constantly. just 5 years ago seattle was in the superbowl, the cardinals 2 years ago, san fran once was a football dynasty and st lou was the ish in the early 2000s. that's just life.

my predictions btw. i think the falcons are overrated and will be exposed as frauds. i like that they have a power running attack but all i can think of is their 2 games against the saints (new orlean missed a 29 year field goal as time expired in the first one, saints won the second one) and the battles with the bucs. i'm convinced their top notch record is a result of 6 games against seattle, s.f., st. louis, arizona and 2 against carolina. i also think their power running attack would be well suited for cold weather games but the fact that they have home field advantage (in a dome) only evens the playing field instead of turning it into a major advantage. i pick the saints to come out of that side

on the other side, i'm picking pittsburge to come out. Strong D, power running game that's great in cold weather, QB that strives in chaos. What's not to like? i'm not sure they want to see peyton in the second round though

now that we've gotten where i'd put my money out of the way, as far as my rooting interests, i'm rooting for the colts and eagles!

i've gotta bump this since i'm getting more and more excited about the games. i'm looking forward to colts vs foot fetishes i mean jets and packers vs eagles
